Adding a synoptic
The synoptic in Databoom is implemented as a widget, so the addition follows the same procedure. After clicking Add Widget from the dashboard and selecting the Synoptic option, the image to use as a base is requested. Dragging the image from your desktop to the appropriate area, it will be uploaded.
After loading is completed and confirmed by the button click, you will see the widget on the dashboard. The preview shows the picture with all the tags, their content is displayed only if their sizes allow it, otherwise you can see it in tooltips. The footer of the widget contains tags last update.
Edit a synoptic
To edit a synoptic, open the widget settings by clicking on the dots in its header, then click the Edit Synoptic button. The synoptic is then displayed full-screen with the possibility of adding tags. You can choose among:
- Static Tag
- Dynamic Tag
- Static Icon
- Dynamic Icon
Static tags and icons
Static tags are nothing but elements which value is fixed when positioned on the synoptic. Two types of static tags are available, the tags and the icons.
A static tag contains a fixed text. When creating it, you can specify the size, position and color.
A static icon contains a fixed image. When creating it, you can specify the size, position, whether or not to display the background and the rotation.
Once you add the tag, you will be able to move or resize it in the synoptic view.
Dynamic tags and icons
Dynamic tags are linked to signals while creating them, so their content can change depending on conditions set on the received values.
A dynamic tag is linked to a device and/or a signal. It is possible to specify the size, position and the conditions to verify, you can choose the background color to use depending on the received values.
A dynamic icon is linked, in the same way of the tag, to a device and/or a signal. You can specify the size, position, rotation and then the different conditions to be applied, to which you can set a different image.
Once you add the tag, you will be able to move or resize it in the synoptic view.
