Signals history (widget)

The signals history widget shows the history data of one or more signals in a table, with the possibility to edit signals granularity and show their statistics. It is also possible to export the visualized data by clicking the Export button in the widget menu.

From the edit modal of the widget it is possible to set the interval of values to show and their frequency. If the selected frequency is too high for the selected tange, the visualization could show an error, the Automatic option is therefore reccomended.

If the automatic option is selected, it is possible to view the provided granularity by hovering the indication in the footer. From the window it is also possible to add new signals to the table and select the timezone to be applied to exported data.

By clocking the Sort option in the menu, it is possible to change column orders by dragging their headers or clicking the apposite arrows 🡸 🡺.

Once the signal has been added to the widget, it is possible to open its edit panel by clicking its header. You can change column color and the statistics to show, in addition to show values substitutions (substitution colors are applied if set in signals settings, even if substituted value option is not set).

Global statistics change according the typo of the signal:

  • Counter, the global statistic is the final absolute value or the sum of all the relatives values;
  • Digital, the global statistic consists of the total average, the falling edge (number of times the value changed from 1 to 0) and the rising edge (number of times the value changed from 0 to 1);
  • Analogic (no counter), the global statistic consists of the average of averages, the minimum of minimums and the maximum of maximums.

History export

By clicking the Export button in the widget menu, the parameters selection modal opens.

With max distance between values in minutes a value per interval is exported, even when the signal has no values. For example, an hourly signal export, with a max distance set to 10 minutes, will have a record each 10 minutes, even if empty.

Keep decimal digits allows to specify whether keep decimal digits format  as displayed in Databoom, in this case values are stored as strings in exported file. On the cotnrary, values are exported as numbers.

Once that the time period and the data frequency to export have been selected, the modal is closed while the file to download is processed in background. After a few seconds, by updating the events list in a notes widget, the export event is shown.

By clicking the note it is possible to see its detail and the link to download the file.
